When are you open?
Wednesday to Saturday 10am–4pm, Sunday 10am–1pm, and closed Tuesdays. Hours can change over holidays and long weekends, so check our Google hours before a special trip.
What will I find inside?
An ever-changing mix of art, craft and gift cards, including textiles, woodwork, ceramics and sculpture, all made by local artisans. Every piece has a story, and most of those stories started right here in the High Country
Who runs the shop?
We do! Made in Mansfield began in 1993, when a group of local artists and craftspeople got together to create a place to show and sell their work. It’s a not-for-profit, and our members staff the shop as volunteers. So the friendly face behind the counter is always one of the makers.
Is everything really made locally?
Yes, truly. Every item is handmade by artists who live and create in the Mansfield region.
Can I join as an artist?

Do you sell online?
No sorry we don’t, however if you are after something particular call the shop and we will do our best to assist.
Where are you?
You’ll find us at 82 High Street, Mansfield, right in the heart of town. Look for our flags out the front, A frame and hanging plants.
Can I get a gift wrapped?
Of course! We’re happy to wrap your treasure in simple brown paper tied with a pretty ribbon, a lovely, earthy touch that lets the gift speak for itself. And at Christmas time, we bring out the festive paper to add a little extra sparkle. Just ask when you’re at the counter.
Is the shop accessible?
Disabled access is available, we have a ramp.
Are you involved in local arts events?
Absolutely. We proudly sponsor MOST, the Mansfield Open Studio Trail. It’s held on the Saturday and Sunday of the Melbourne Cup weekend, when local artists open their studio doors to visitors. We also support the Mansfield Art Show and the Mansfield Show.

Can I commission a piece?
Many of our artists love creating something special just for you! Commissions are arranged directly with each artist, so if a particular maker’s work has caught your eye, ask us in the shop and we’ll help you get in touch with them. They can chat with you about ideas, timing and pricing, and bring your little dream to life.
