In 1993, a group of local artists came together with a shared vision—to create a space where they could exhibit and sell their handcrafted work. From that idea, Made in Mansfield was born.
More than 30 years later, Made in Mansfield remains one of the region’s favourite destinations for unique, locally made art and gifts. As a not-for-profit, artist-run collective, the shop is owned and operated by its members, who each contribute by working in the shop and helping to manage its day-to-day operations.
Members work on a roster, usually spending around two days each month in the shop, and meet regularly to ensure the shop continues to thrive. A small commission on sales helps cover operating costs, allowing us to continue supporting local artists and providing a welcoming space for the community and visitors alike.
We are currently at full membership capacity. When opportunities for new members become available, details on how to apply will be published here.
If you’re a local artist living in the Mansfield region, we’d love to meet you. Feel free to drop into the shop for a chat and learn more about our collective.
