Rescued textiles by Eliza
Eliza Foster learned to sew from her dress-maker mother in the sixties.
Without formal training, her hobby simmered in the background until she became aware of waste happening in the textile industry. Perfectly good but unwanted items going to landfill.
Understanding how much effort and resources go into making textiles, Eliza resolved to “rescue” them by repurposing clothing, curtains, etc. by de-constructing, washing, pressing and making new, useful items.
Eliza considers it important to offer quality finishes so items can be washed repeatedly.
Eliza’s products include washable face masks, posh cloths, car tidy, shopping bags, wine bags, microwave bowl cozy, tea bag / coffee caddy, cutlery set, produce bags and cowl scarfs.
